About
Mrs. Tomlinson graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bristol and further completed training in London and the South West in ophthalmic surgery. She holds a BSc degree in Physiological sciences as well as a Masters in Genomic Medicine. She completed her ophthalmic surgical training within the prestigious and highly competitive seven rotation in the Bristol Eye Hospital.
Mrs Tomlinson has over a decade of experience in cataract surgery and uses the latest lens technology to optimise patient outcomes. Throughout her career she has been awarded numerous prizes for research particularly in refractive surgery and quality improvement. She has been invited to present at multiple international and national conferences. She enjoys teaching surgery and also has a role training the next generation of ophthalmologists.
Mrs Tomlinson specialises in adult cataract surgery with premium lenses. She has higher experience in cataract surgery with a focus on vision optimisation and patient safety. Her complication rate in cataract surgery using a metric audited nationally: poster capsule rupture rate is less than 0.3% (n=968, average of 550 cataracts per an annum completed), national average 1-1.6% (for consultant level surgeon).
How to find Bath Clinic
By Car
Bath Clinic is located on the A3062. If you are travelling from Brassknocker Hill direction, you’ll find the hospital entrance on the right-hand side of Claverton Down Road.
Travelling from the M4
Leave the M4 at Junction 18 and follow signs for Bath via the A46
At the Tormarton Roundabout, take the third exit onto the A46
Continue on the A46 for approximately 8 miles
Follow signs for Bath and join the A4 towards Bath/Warminster/A36
At the roundabout, take the third exit onto London Road A4
After approximately 1 mile, turn left onto Cleveland Place
After approximately 1 mile turn left onto the A3062
Follow Claverton Down Road until you see Bath Clinic
Travelling from Frome, Westbury or Warminster (via the A36)
Follow the A361 through Beckington
At White Row Farm Roundabout, take the second exit onto the A36
Continue on the A36 until you reach the traffic lights near Limpley Stoke Viaduct
At the second set of traffic lights, turn left onto Brassknocker Hill
Follow the road to the top of the hill and continue to the roundabout
Take the first exit onto Claverton Down Road (A3062)

Parking
Free patient and visitor parking is available on site at Bath Clinic, but please remember to register your vehicle at reception upon arrival.
By Bus
The 20A, 20C U2, 228 and RA4 all stop near Bath Clinic.
By Train
The clinic is located approximately a 10 minute drive from Bath Railway station.
