About
Mrs. Tomlinson graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bristol and further completed training in London and the South West in ophthalmic surgery. She holds a BSc degree in Physiological sciences as well as a Masters in Genomic Medicine. She completed her ophthalmic surgical training within the prestigious and highly competitive seven rotation in the Bristol Eye Hospital.
Mrs Tomlinson has over a decade of experience in cataract surgery and uses the latest lens technology to optimise patient outcomes. Throughout her career she has been awarded numerous prizes for research particularly in refractive surgery and quality improvement. She has been invited to present at multiple international and national conferences. She enjoys teaching surgery and also has a role training the next generation of ophthalmologists.
Mrs Tomlinson specialises in adult cataract surgery with premium lenses. She has higher experience in cataract surgery with a focus on vision optimisation and patient safety. Her complication rate in cataract surgery using a metric audited nationally: poster capsule rupture rate is less than 0.3% (n=968, average of 550 cataracts per an annum completed), national average 1-1.6% (for consultant level surgeon).
