Mr Sreedhar Babu Jyothi is a consultant ophthalmologist at Spire Leeds Hospital with specialist expertise in oculoplastic, orbital, lacrimal, aesthetic eyelid surgery and cataract surgery. He has been working at St James’s University Hospital, Leeds and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS since 2014.
Mr Jyothi has performed over 2,000 eyelid surgeries in his role as a consultant eyelid and mid-face surgeon, achieving excellent surgical outcomes with a minimal complication rate and consistently high patient satisfaction. His surgical expertise encompasses cosmetic surgery of the eyes, eyelids and periocular complex including eyebrows and upper cheeks; lacrimal surgery for the management of blepharitis, dry eyes and watery eyes including tear duct surgery; management of eyelid skin cancers and reconstruction; thyroid eye disease management and rehabilitation surgery; and cataract surgery.
Mr Jyothi’s medical training began in India before continuing in the UK, culminating in a research fellowship as Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the prestigious Cranfield University, where he conducted research into innovative treatment modalities for eye conditions. He subsequently obtained advanced specialist training in eye surgery, oculoplastic, orbital and lacrimal surgery at St James’s University Teaching Hospital in Leeds.
As an honorary senior lecturer at Leeds University, Mr Jyothi has been extensively involved in ophthalmological research and education, with over 100 national and international presentations and numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. He currently leads the oculoplastic services at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and is managing director of “Aesthetic eye YUVA,” a practice providing facial non-surgical aesthetic services.
